St. Mary Community Action Agency provides transportation services

throughout the St. Mary/ Vermilion Parishes. Transporting clients to and

from work; stores; and medical appointments. The St. Mary Community

Action Agency have many different transportation services that all have

one goal. Serving The Public!

S.T.E.P.S Transportation Program (STEPS)

Transportation services via referral form from DSS/OFS or by telephone with the stipulation that the required documation will be submitted shortly therefore Service Operation: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Phone: 337-828-5779 (Franklin)    985-384-7446 (Morgan City)

Transportation services for elderly and senior citizen for doctor appointments, and errands to the bank, stores, and etc. Clients need to call in 2 days prior to their appointment Service Operation: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Phone: 337-828-5779 (Franklin)    985-384-7446 (Morgan City)

Title XIX Medical Transportation (XIX)

Transportation services for Medicaid Card holders. Non- emergency services-doctors appointment only. For appointment call 1-800-864-6034. Service Operation: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Phone: 337-828-5779 (Franklin)    985-384-7446 (Morgan City)  

Job Access

Transportation designed to transport welfare recipients and eligible low-income individuals to and from jobs and activities related to their employment. This project is intended to develop additional transportation services or extend service hours to fill the gaps that exist in many areas between the residential locations of welfare recipients and low income persons and major employment opportunities. Service Operation: Monday- Friday 5:30pm -11:00pm                 6:00am to 7:30pm Sunday & Saturday 6:00am -11:00pm Phone: 337-828-5779 (Franklin)

Jobs for America’s graduates is to assist at risk and disadvantaged youth in obtaining a GED and thereafter finding jobs through a state supported school to work transitional system Service Operation: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Phone: 337-828-5779 (Franklin)    985-384-7446 (Morgan City)

Clients can purchase tokens at the office and clients must schedule rides 1-2 days in advance.
