Townhouse Complex)
The development is composed of fourteen-
two bedroom units, fourteen-three bedroom
units, and two- four bedroom units. The units
are available for low income persons or
families, but they must first show an ability to
pay rent. Rent starts at $375 per month for a
two bedroom; $517 for a three bedroom; and
$578 for a four bedroom/

Patterson, La
Emergency Shelter/ Emergency
Assistance Services
Provides temporary housing for homeless
families, as well as offer various services to
families to help them get back to their
mainstream of society. Other services include
rent and mortgage assistance to prevent
evictions, first month rental and assistance to
move into a more stable environment and
utility payments for persons that have
received a disconnection notice and
emergency food assistance.

Morgan City Heights
Five modular units in Morgan City, Louisiana. The
development will consist of four 1,200 square foot;
3 Bedroom- 2 Bath modular homes. Available for
purchase by low-income families. The project is
being funded by Louisiana Housing Finance Agency.

Home Buyers Education
SMCAA and LHC are sponsors of the First Time Home
buyer’s Education Program in St. Mary and Vermilion
Parishes. The program consist of 10 training hours and
includes topics on types of mortgages, financial literacy
and lending practices. This is a free workshop and is open
to the public. One on one counseling is also available.
